If your prints fall off the shirt after one wash you are losing money and your brand reputation is at risk. The simple truth is that most commercial orders fail because the ink never reached its melting point. To fix this you must ensure the entire ink layer hits 320°F (160℃) for at least 15 seconds. This creates a permanent bond and it keeps your customers coming back for more.

Why Your Bulk Orders Are Failing the Wash Test

We see it all the time in big shops. You have a deadline and you want to run the belt fast so you turn up the heat. The ink looks dry yet it is still raw underneath. This is the difference between “dry” and “cured.” When you use جوهر پلاستیزول the PVC resin must melt into the fibers. If it only dries on top it will peel like a sticker.

The Heat Sink Problem

Heavy garments like hoodies or thick canvas bags act as a heat sink. They soak up all the heat from your dryer and they leave the ink cold. If you use the same settings for a light tee and a heavy hoodie the hoodie will fail. We are a professional Silicone Ink Manufacturer and we know that consistent heat is the only way to win.

Our Expert Workflow for Bulletproof Durability

We have spent years in the lab at HONG RUI SHENG to find the perfect cure. Here is our step-by-step guide to stop the cracking.

1. Stop Trusting Your Laser Gun

Laser thermometers only read the surface. Your surface might be 350°F but the ink touching the shirt is only 250°F. That is a recipe for disaster. We suggest using a donut probe that travels through the dryer. It tells you the truth about the temperature inside the ink film.

2. Control the Ink Deposit

Thick ink is harder to cure than thin ink. If you are laying down a heavy layer of جوهر پلاستیزول سفید you need more time in the heat. We often use a higher mesh count like 230 to keep the deposit thin but opaque. This allows the heat to penetrate the ink faster and it ensures a full cure.

3. The Science of Dwell Time

Temperature is only half the battle. Your ink needs “dwell time” which is the amount of seconds it stays at the target heat. Most plastisols require at least 60 seconds of drying time to fully fuse. If your belt is too fast the ink never has a chance to bond.

Solving Problems with Synthetic Fabrics

Modern orders often use polyester or blends. These fabrics hate high heat and they will bleed their color into your print.

Dealing with Dye Migration

If your white ink turns pink on a red polyester shirt that is dye migration. To stop this we use a Low Cure Plastisol Ink. These inks cure at 270°F so you don’t bake the fabric dyes into a gas. It saves the shirt and it still passes the wash test.

Case Study: Saving a 5,000-Shirt Streetwear Run

One of our clients had a 5,000-piece order for a major brand. They used a standard Plastisol Ink Wholesale supplier but the prints cracked during the first wash. They were in a panic.

We checked their dryer and found the belt was moving at 15 feet per minute. The ink was only under the heat for 30 seconds. We told them to slow the belt to 8 feet per minute and we switched them to HONG RUI SHENG INK for better stability. The result? The prints passed the AATCC 61 wash test with perfect scores. They didn’t lose the client and they saved their profit.

Best Practices for Your Shop

  • Stir the ink: Always stir your ink for three minutes before printing. It breaks the tension and it makes the ink flow into the fabric better.
  • تست کشش: Once the shirt is cool you should stretch the print. If it cracks like old mud it is not cured.
  • Pre-heat Platens: Cold platens steal heat from your ink. Run your empty platens through the dryer first so they are warm when you start.
  • Check Ventilation: If your dryer is full of smoke the heat cannot work properly. Keep your air moving.

“Quality is not an accident. It is the result of checking your temp every single morning.” — HONG RUI SHENG Technical Team.

سوالات متداول: آنچه باید بدانید

Q1. Why does my ink peel but not crack?

Peeling means the ink didn’t stick to the shirt. This usually happens on nylon or waterproof fabrics. You need a catalyst to make it bond.

Q2. Can I get the ink too hot?

Yes you can. If you go over 380°F the ink gets brittle and it will crack. It might also turn your white ink yellow.

Q3. Does the ink color matter for curing?

Dark colors like black soak up heat fast but light colors like white reflect it. You might need to slow the belt for white ink orders.

Q4. How often should I check my dryer?

We check ours every Monday morning. The weather outside changes how your dryer pulls air so you must adjust your settings.

Q5. Is low-cure ink better?

It is great for synthetic fabrics yet standard ink is usually cheaper for 100% cotton. Use the right tool for the job.
